Everybody

Everybody
Directors: Zachery Everette-Lane & Marrisa Fernandez
Everybody, an experimental play written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, is a play that explores the themes of life, death, and the human experience. The play features long voiceovers, underscores and experimental vocal effects dubbed with acoustic voice. The play is produced by Scotch'n'Soda Theater as their Feburary show in 2025.

Kaibin is the co-sound designer, with three people in the team, working in different aspects of the show. He works on system design, underscore composition and mixing for the show, with one transition effect, while other people are dedicated on transitions, voiceover recording and editing.

Kaibin's composition for the show mainly focuses on creating emotional support and build scenes for the abstract voiceovers which are happening in the dark. The music ranges from electroacoustic contemporary to indie-game style music and electronic dance music.

The music, voiceovers and sound effects are played on a multi-channel system he designed, includig L/C/R setup, side and top surround speakers and on-stage practicals.
