Profile
Kaibin Wang is a sound designer, composer, and technologist currently based in Shanghai, China. His work spans a range of theatrical and musical forms, including musicals, plays, concerts, and recorded music. He owns a Master of Science in Music and Technology from Carnegie Mellon University.
Together with collaborators from his university, he co-founded a studio dedicated to developing new musical theater works. Their projects include the original musical Luxun, inspired by the life and ideas of the influential Chinese writer.
In both composition and sound design, he focuses on creating immersive and cohesive experiences for audiences, drawing on his background in music production, system design, and theatrical storytelling.
Alongside his artistic practice, he also explores experimental projects that integrate programming and artificial intelligence into sound art and live performance.
