Into the Woods

Into the Woods is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. The musical is produced by Scotch'n'Soda theater as their October slot show for 2024.
The show utilizes 18 wireless microphones with standard mic concealing techniques, and has a pit member of 14 people including the director.
Except for the musical theater setup, the show also has more than 100 sound effect cues, ranging from ever-changing ambience forwrding the drama and physical sounds by giant and magic. Kaibin's sound design is intend to make sure that in addition to the music, the sound effect could make audience further immerse into the world of the dark fairy tales.
